                                                Herodotus – The Father of History
                 The word history was used, first of all by Herodotus, the Greek historian. He is
                 regarded as the father of history. He said, “History meant study of investigation of
                 past time.” He was the first person who narrated an account of the wars between
                 Greek and Persia. His famous work is Historiea. He was also the first historian to
                 collect his materials systematically, test their accuracy to a certain extent, and
                 arrange them as a well-constructed and vivid narrative.
