19 Forms of Land

Landforms and I

We live on the earth. It is round like an

orange. Its surface is high at some places and
low at other places. It is rocky at some places,

while it has soil at other places. Thus, there
are different types of landforms. The lifestyle
of a person changes as per the landform.

People in mountains live differently from
those living in plains or deserts.

The surface of the earth has different forms. It is covered with land

and water. Water covers about three-fourth of the surface and the
remaining one-fourth part is covered with land. We live on land.

Land is not uniform everywhere. There are mountains, plains,
plateaus and deserts.

Mountains

Mountains are high hills.

Many rivers originate
there. As the land is

uneven, it is difficult to

build roads and houses.
