Directions

Stand up and spread your hand sideways. The four sides are :

u To your front.

u To your back.

u To your left.

u To your right.

Now, turn to the right. These sides have changed, haven’t they?

So, proper directions are used. Proper directions are fixed. They do

not change when you turn.

Stand facing the rising sun in the morning :

u To your front is the East .

u To your back is the West .

u To your left is the North .

u To your right is the South .

On a Map

u To the top is the North. North East

u To the bottom is the South. West South

u To the right is the East.

u To the left is the West.
